After leveling up Generals, upgrading General Star level also plays a crucial role for players to promote their Generals in Evony. In Evony, there are some requirements and necessary items for players to upgrade their Generals’ Star. This article will explain them in detail and discuss how to get the key item – Medal.
General Star Enhancement Requirements:
General Star Enhancement costs Gold and Medals and requires Generals to attain certain levels.
Generals’ levels and the number of Gold and Medals required for each star upgrade are different.
Different qualities of Generals have different star enhancement requirements.

Common monsters
Killing each of Lv1 to Lv40 common monsters (such as Robber, Crafty Ranger, Bloody Gladiator, Inferno Warrior, Scythian Knight, and so on) will drop 1 Medal.
The methods to increase items’ drop rate:
- Use the General whose Special Skill or Specialty has the “Double Items Drop Rate” buff. Golden Generals: Aethelflard, Caesar, Theodora, and Baibars; Purple Generals: Cleopatra.
- Use the “Lucky” Skill Book on your general who will lead the troops to kill the monster. Lv4 Lucky: Grants you an 18% Double Items Drop Rate from Monsters when the General is leading the army.
Boss monsters
Killing each of Lv1 to Lv10 Boss monsters will drop a Boss Monster Chest. Open the chest, and you can receive Medals.

The Boss Monster Chests dropped by Boss Monsters above Lv10, will not contain Medals.
Event monsters
- Fenrir
Kill 1 Weak Fenrir to get 1 Medal;
Kill 1 Common Fenrir to get 2 Medals;
Kill 1 Furious Fenrir to get 3 Medals.
- Garuda
Kill 1 Junior Garuda to get 5 Medals;
Kill 1 Senior Garuda to get 8 Medals.
Royal Thief
Kill a Royal Thief to get a Royal Thief Chest. Open a chest to get Medal *4.
Events
There are many events for players to earn the Medal, for example:
- Delphic Oracle – Use Star Badge *3 to redeem Medal *50. You can redeem it up to 60 times.
- Dawn of Civilization and Advanced Journey – Lv4 rewards Medal *10 – Lv18 rewards – Medal *20
- Shining Treasure, The Silk Road, Tea Culture, Precious Vegetation, Eagle of Freedom, Strong Drink, Fragrance – Each of them can redeem Medal *1,000
Black Market
Players can buy Medals on the Black Market. The value ratio is Gem: Medal = 50: 1.
Store
Store → Items → Special → Medal
It is not cost-effective to buy Medals in the Store.
Every 100 Gems can only buy 1 Medal.
