Evony Sub City Mayor Arminius – How Strong? How to Obtain?

Evony General Arminius
Evony Epic Historic General Arminius is a debuff general who can be the mayor of a subordinate city (hereafter referred to as sub city). This guide will analyze his strengths and uses, and list as many ways as possible to obtain this general. We hope it can provide a valuable reference for friends who are not sure whether to train this general.

Arminius’s General Story

The children of Germanic royals were often recruited into the Roman army to fight for Rome. For this time, the target was their compatriots on the North Bank of Rhine. The young Arminius gave up on his pleasant life in Rome and helped the Germans fight. As an officer of the cavalry legion, he had knowledge of the Roman army, serving as the strongest weapon.
When Varus broke into Germania with three Roman legions camped in Teutonburg Forest, Arminius realized that his chance for revenge had come. The rampant vegetation and narrow roads forced the Roman legions to lengthen their formation. Before the Romans could adapt to the muddy roads, massive raged Germans, led by Arminius, rushed out of the forests in all directions. The Roman legions were out of order and had to face the most tragic defeat in the Roman Empire’s history.
With this glorious victory, Arminius awakened the Germans’ morale and became the first national hero.

Arminius’s Usage & Strength Comparison (with Constantine the Great)

Owning Arminius unlocks the Legendary General collection in General Hall I. You can view it via Art Hall -> General Hall -> General Hall I.
After collecting the 4 generals of this group, you can claim Super Attack Increase (10 min) * 2 and Senior March Size Increase * 1.
Arminius’s most debuff attributes focus on enemy ground troops and mounted troops. Besides, he also did not ignore the debuff on enemy ranged troops and siege machines.
When the special skill reaches the 5th red star and the specialty reaches the maximum level, Arminius’s debuff attributes are as follows:
  • Enemy ground troop + mounted troop HP -50% and defense -10%
  • Enemy ranged troop + siege machine attack 25%, defense -15%, and HP -25%
  • Enemy all troops attack -10%
Arminius is suitable as a sub-city mayor and is used in PVP, leading sub-city troops to attack the enemy.
Among the generals in the Europe group, Arminius is in the same tier as sub-city generals such as Constantine the Great, Margaret I, and Harald, but they mainly target different enemy troop types.
The targets of Arminius and Constantine the Great are closest, and they both have good debuff effects on enemy ground and mounted. Looking at the ground and mounted alone, Constantine the Great’s debuff effect is more comprehensive and better, but Arminius has an additional debuff for ranged and siege.
We compared these two generals in different dimensions, see the table below for details.
For ease of recording, we use abbreviations instead of attribute categories in the comparison in the table below. For example, enemy ground troop HP is abbreviated as EGTHP, enemy troop attack is abbreviated as ETA, and ranged troop defense is abbreviated as RTA.
